- Achieve justice in all cases holding defendants accountable when they violate the law in an ethical and equitable manner.
- Promote legislation that protects the public and keeps communities safer.
- Act always with understanding and compassion for the victims of crime.
- Move cases efficiently through the criminal justice system.
- Utilize only the law and evidence to make appropriate legal decisions without fear or favor.
- Utilize specialty courts to address substance abuse and mental health issues while also holding them responsible and to keep people out of the criminal justice system in appropriate cases.
- Diligently represent DeKalb County in actions brought against the county and in actions brought on behalf of the county to protect taxpayer dollars.
- Keep an open line of communication with law enforcement and regularly educate them on important changes in the law that affect how they do their jobs.
- Regularly attend County Board Meeting to act as legal advisor and answer all questions.
- Update elected County Officials on changes in the law that affect their day-to-day operations.
